Sav Day 16
Friday night is date night! Local business support is shared with Leo on Fridays, although I get him something everywhere I go, so it is always pretty much shared with Leo. One of the best things about moving down here is getting to share life with him. It sounds so simple but for so long, sharing my projects and ideas wasn’t something I could do with him daily. I am deeply grateful for our time together.
After a day full of barre teacher training for me, and work for him we headed out to The Wyld Dock Bar. This place was recommended to both of us by friends. I am not sure if you know this, but Savannah, Georgia boarders South Carolina and is apart of an area called the “lowcountry”. Lowcountry describes the coast line of South Carolina (picture the Hilton Head area), marshy area, long grass, crabs, otters, lots of birds, tons of bugs, and low bodies of water. And The Wyld sits right in the marsh of the beautiful lowcountry. The imagine below to the right is a picture of the views at the bar.
To be honest with you, I didn’t take too many pictures myself. I was nice to disconnect from my phone a bit and be present. You walk in, order at the counter, start a tab, grab your drinks, and find yourself a table. Their menu changes seasonally. Again, I wish I took a picture of it to show you, highly suggest clicking this link to see. We had local shrimp, fries, fish tacos, pork tacos, and key lime pie.The food was awesome, so fresh, not complicated, and just dang good, Leo enjoyed the two Georgia brewed beers he had, and I hydrated with water. It was the atmosphere that really drew you in. Live music, string lights, relaxed staff. My pictures and words do not do it justice, something that just has to be enjoyed. We are already planning our second trip for golden hour. 10/10. Around the area or visiting me? I am taking you here.
